Since the fringe is commonly made with cotton, it does not hide the soil the same way wool does. In addition, fringe is usually lighter in color which makes the soil easier to see. If the fringe appears soiled, the same soil is in the rug as well, it’s just not as noticeable. Some synthetic rugs may be able to be cleaned in your home, however, natural fiber rugs such as wool, silk or cotton are only cleaned at our cleaning facility. Delicate rugs that were imported from overseas and most commonly made with wool and cotton are given a spa treatment with our 9 step cleaning process. Rugs that are especially soiled, have pet spots, or have been in a flood are first decontaminated in a special odor removal bath before continuing through the cleaning process. Once your rug is rinsing clear, excess moisture is extracted and your rug is laid flat or hung for drying.
